The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State, South-East Nigeria, has issued an open apology to the state's residents for not meeting their expectations during their nearly 24 years in power.
The party is now appealing for another chance, pledging to make necessary amends.
Abraham Amah, the Acting State Publicity Secretary, addressed journalists after a stakeholders' meeting in Umuahia. He emphasized that the party has learned from its past mistakes and plans to use these lessons to chart a new course for the future.
Despite transitioning to the opposition, Amah expressed satisfaction that the PDP remains united across all 17 Local Government Areas of the state. He praised the resilience and dedication of party members in the face of challenging state and national political climates.
