Reports indicate that DCP Guri collapsed and died shortly after entering his office at the Louis Edet House, Force Headquarters, Abuja. Eyewitnesses stated that he showed no prior signs of illness before the incident.

According to an eyewitness, DCP Guri, dressed in his uniform, slumped in his office chair. Colleagues quickly rushed him to seek medical assistance, but he was confirmed dead upon arrival.

A source revealed, “Some officers rushed him to the hospital, and even before reaching there, he had already passed away.”
