Hicham Boudaoui, a star midfielder for Algeria, will be absent for their international friendly matchup against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

In the 1-0 loss to Angers SCO last weekend for his French club, OGC Nice, Boudaoui suffered an injury.

Nabil Bentaleb, one of his countrymen, scored the game-winning goal for Angers.

Sofiane Bendebka, a midfielder from Saudi Arabia, has been called up by head coach Djamel Belmadi to take his place.

For the Saturday friendly, Belmadi selected a 25-man team.

The Desert Foxes started preparations for the game on Monday in Constantine.

They are expected to leave for Oran on Tuesday (today) to continue their preparations.
