Super Eagles forward Taiwo Awoniyi is celebrating Nottingham Forest’s hard-fought survival in the Premier League after another challenging season.
The Reds have successfully retained their top-flight status for the second year in a row. Under the leadership of Nuno Espirito Santo, Forest secured their safety with a decisive 2-1 victory over Burnley on the final day of the season. Awoniyi expressed his gratitude on social media, thanking God for a successful campaign.
“After all is said and done, I’m who I am because of you (God). See you next season @premierleague,” the forward wrote on Facebook.
“Another year to remember again. You deserve it, Nottingham Forest. Thanks for your support always and for helping us to push through. You truly the best, You RED,” he added.
Awoniyi registered six goals and three assists in 20 league appearances for Forest this season.
