Emmanuel Babayaro, a former Nigeria goalkeeper, has accused current goalie trainer Alloy Agu and Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president Amaju Pinnick for the country's inability to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.

The Super Eagles were eliminated on the away goal rule after drawing 1-1 with Ghana at home on Tuesday.

"For me personally, I will throw the blame on goalie trainer, Alloy Agu," Babayaro, who won a gold medal at the 1996 Olympics, stated.

He has been the goalkeeper trainer for many years and has yet to see any of the goalkeepers develop. He hasn't even brought in a new goalie to the team. So, what makes him a goalkeeper coach?"

"Football has a lot to do with psychology," he added. After conceding that goal, Uzoho was visibly shaken since he had made a blunder by allowing the ball to go into the net. It takes a lot of guts for a goalkeeper to bounce back after conceding such a goal.

The former Super Eagles goalkeeper also placed the blame squarely on Amaju Pinnick's shoulders.

"In a circumstance where just the President is in charge of everything, there is no teamwork among the Super Eagles and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)."

The Federation's President is also the Super Eagles' Chief Scout. He has traveled to Europe to persuade players who were not born in Nigeria and have little knowledge of the game.

"How can you assemble strangers and expect them to do the duties of brothers?" They are unable to play with such urgency because they are unaware of Nigeria's history and rivalry with Ghana, as well as what football means to the common Nigerian," he concluded.
