Moses Simon, a Super Eagles attacker, has disclosed that the team decided on their 0–0 draw with Ghana in Kumasi.
In the first leg of their 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifying playoff, Ghana and Nigeria drew 0-0 in Kumasi, Ghana.
Given the quality of the Ghanaian pitch and the violent behavior of their supporters, Nigeria was congratulated for coming home with a draw.
On Tuesday, Moses, who plays for Nantes in France, might keep his spot in Austin Eguavoen's starting lineup.
"We know how Ghana plays, so we opted to play for a draw because we know they'll lose when they come here," Moses said in a press conference on Monday.
The game against Ghana is all about tactics since we all know it may be difficult," the 26-year-old added. Of course, you'll see me in top form in the game tomorrow. "We'll give it our all."
"I was not trapped in the game against Tunisia," he added. "If you say I was caged, I didn't observe it, and you talk."
