Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco are reportedly interested in signing Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi on loan.
The French club is also keen to include a buy option in the deal, according to reliable transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Romano revealed the latest update on his social media platform, stating, “AS Monaco consider Wilfred Ndidi one of the main options on their list for the final days, but a loan move with a buy option clause is not easy at all. Ndidi has a buyout clause, but Leicester are not opening doors to a loan yet, at this stage.”
The 27-year-old Nigerian international has been a key player for Leicester City. He signed a new three-year deal with the Foxes last summer but is currently sidelined as he recovers from an injury. Despite his limited time on the pitch, Ndidi has contributed significantly this season, recording four assists in just 15 league appearances.
Monaco's pursuit of Ndidi could add depth and experience to their midfield, but the deal hinges on Leicester City's willingness to negotiate terms.
