Daniel Daga, a reliable midfielder for Nigeria's U-20 team, the Flying Eagles, is injured, and team officials are anxious to learn how serious it is.

Daga was stretchered off in the first half of Nigeria’s 1-0 defeat to the Cubs of Senegal on Sunday.

The youngster was replaced by Jonathan Nicholas.

There are fears the Dakkada FC player may not feature again in the competition.

The Flying Eagles will take on the Young Pharaohs of Egypt in their second group game at the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations on Wednesday.
