Nigeria’s Flying Eagles arrived in the country on Monday morning after their participation at the just-concluded Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Ladan Bosso’s side finished in third place in the competition.

It was the third time the Flying Eagles would win a bronze medal at the U-20 AFCON.

The seven-time champions also secured a place at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will be hosted by Indonesia.

Two players from the team, Solomon Agbalaka and Augustine Njoku, were selected in the tournament’s best X1.

The Flying Eagles also claimed the "Fair Play" award.

The team is expected to take a break before resuming preparations for the World Cup, which will start in May.
