Morocco U-20 head coach, Mohamed Ouahbi, has shared his thoughts on the challenging group draw for the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, as reported by DAILY POST.

The Atlas Cubs find themselves in Group B, alongside fierce regional rivals Egypt, Nigeria, and South Africa—three powerhouse teams with rich histories in youth football.

Nigeria remains the most successful team in the tournament’s history, boasting seven titles, while Egypt has lifted the trophy four times. South Africa, on the other hand, has been making impressive strides at the youth level in recent years.

Despite the tough competition, Ouahbi remains confident in his squad’s ability to go all the way.

“It’s a challenging group with strong teams—Nigeria, with its rich history, Egypt, which we know well, and South Africa, which has been progressing rapidly at the youth level. But we have spent the last two years preparing this generation to win the tournament.”

With Morocco’s intense preparation and a determined mindset, Ouahbi and his team are ready to fight for glory at the 2025 U-20 AFCON.
