The Lawmaker who is representing Ilesa East state constituency was beaten to pulp by people but the intervention of the Paramount ruler of town led to his rescue.

The Honorable, who is also an Elder in a white garment church in Ilesa was alleged to have been doing the ritual for the forthcoming election in the state.

Meanwhile, it is not yet clear if it is unlawful for a "traditionalist" to perform his religious act in the middle of the night.
