The Kano State University of Science and Technology Wudil has undergone a significant transformation and is now known as Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology.
The institution is making waves in the integration of technology with the development of a robotic machine designed to assist staff in performing domestic chores within the university premises.
According to Professor Musa Yakasai, the Vice Chancellor of the university, this innovative robotic machine aims to optimize the efficiency of staff in their day-to-day responsibilities. The university's management has made substantial strides in leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology to empower students, ensuring they actively participate in the global IT transformation.
Professor Yakasai enthusiastically shared that the robotic machine has already undergone successful testing, confirming its functionality according to the intended design. He further emphasized the institution's commitment to developing various types of machines to alleviate the workload on the campus.
Highlighting recent infrastructure improvements, Professor Yakasai mentioned the newly-renovated library, boasting a seating capacity for over 500 students. This state-of-the-art facility is fully equipped with internet connectivity and other essential IT resources to enhance the learning experience.
While acknowledging the existence of a fully functional e-library, Professor Yakasai encouraged students to embrace the traditional library system, fostering an improved reading culture. The university's forward-thinking approach not only embraces technological advancements but also values the importance of a well-rounded educational environment.
