Left-back, James Ajako will extend his contract with Akwa United at the end of the season, DAILY POST reports.



Ajako’s current contract with the Promise Keepers will expire at the end of the 2022/23 campaign.

The defender moved to Akwa United from Jigawa Golden Stars in 2020.

The player has contributed five goals and six assists since his arrival at the club.

Ajako has made 16 appearances across all competitions for the Uyo club this season.

Akwa United are planning to keep one of their priced assets as they aim to maintain their push for continental football next season.
