The "zero-tolerance" policy put into place by Trump's administration is sickening, to say the least.
The photos that have gone viral showing the detention centers where children sit in cages with nothing but blankets and pads on the floor have resulted in millions of dollars being raised to aid immigrants who have been separated from their families at the border.
Numerous artists and celebrities alike have voiced their support in the matter, urging anyone to do and say what they can to stop families being torn apart. One of the latest to speak on the matter is none other than Nicki Minaj who has taken to Instagram to share that she too was an immigrant when she came to America.
"I came to this country as an illegal immigrant @ 5 years old. I can’t imagine the horror of being in a strange place & having my parents stripped away from me at the age of 5," she wrote. "This is so scary to me. Please stop this. Can you try to imagine the terror & panic these kids feel right now? Not knowing if their parents are dead or alive, if they’ll ever see them again... "
