César Azpilicueta and Antonio Rüdiger's contracts are up for renewal, according to Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel.
Tuchel revealed that Chelsea had extended Azpilicueta's contract, saying it was "wonderful news" and that he was "delighted."
He also expressed optimism that Ruidger's contract with Chelsea would be extended.
At his pre-match news conference ahead of Chelsea's Premier League encounter against Brentford on Saturday, Tuchel said, "I knew it was going to happen because I understood the number of games." "I was aware of the number of games," says the player. We needed to convince him [Azpilicueta] to stay and extend his contract. As a result, I'm ecstatic. You're well aware of how much I rely on him. "
"The situation is the circumstance," he remarked of Rudiger. Our options are limited. We are unable to communicate with him or make any offers to him. We can't bargain with his agency, so if he listens to other offers, that's fine. But I'm still optimistic. "
