Nigeria’s Flying Eagles are set to begin the final phase of their preparations for the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Katsina State.
According to SCORENigeria, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has secured sponsorship from the Katsina State Government to facilitate the training camp. The team is expected to regroup this week after a short break.
Under the guidance of head coach Aliyu Zubairu, the Flying Eagles recently played two friendly matches against Cote d’Ivoire, securing a 2-0 victory in the first match but suffering a 2-0 defeat in the second.
The seven-time African champions have been drawn in a competitive Group B, where they will battle Egypt, Morocco, and South Africa for a place in the knockout rounds.
The U-20 AFCON 2025 will take place in Cote d’Ivoire from April 26 to May 18, as teams compete for continental glory and a potential ticket to the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
