Former Arsenal star Tomas Rosicky has responded to speculation about a potential return to the club as their new sporting director.
The Gunners have been searching for a replacement since Edu’s shock departure in November, aiming to appoint a successor as early as next month. Real Sociedad’s Roberto Olabe is currently the frontrunner, but Rosicky, Dan Ashworth (recently departed from Manchester United), and Andrea Berta are also reportedly in the mix. Jason Ayto is currently handling the role on an interim basis.
Speaking on the Livesport Daily podcast, Rosicky addressed the rumors, expressing gratitude for being considered.
"My connection with Arsenal is natural because I spent 10 years there. When you dedicate that much time to a club, you develop a strong, deep bond," he said.
"I also have a strong bond with Sparta Prague. These are the two clubs I love because of my deep ties with them."
While flattered by Arsenal’s reported interest, Rosicky clarified that no formal offer has been made.
"I am honored to be on Arsenal’s radar, but I can say with certainty that I haven’t received any official offer from the club."
With Arsenal eager to fill the crucial position, the search continues—but Rosicky’s comments suggest his immediate future remains elsewhere.
