A few days before their CAF Confederation Cup match against Bendel Insurance, Algerian club ASO Chlef announced the hiring of a new head coach.

Abdelkader Yaiche has taken over as the team's new manager.

Lyamine Bougherara, who vacated the position last month, is replaced by Yaiche.

Since June 2021, the 66-year-old has been out of a job.

Abdelhak Belaid will aid Yaiche in his work.

On Saturday, the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round match between ASO Chlef and Bendel Insurance will take place at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.
