Sad, Gunmen Attack Police Station In Ibadan; One Officer Killed
It was a weird moment yesterday as some unknown gunmen yesterday ( Friday) evening stormed Ikolaba police station in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital and killed a police officer.
Reports have it that the gunmen, after gaining entry to the police station, killed one of the officers on duty.
It was learnt that the gunmen caught the officers unaware as they shot sporadically into the station.
Though, details of the incident is still sketchy, our correspondent learnt that the officer died as a result of the gunshot.
Meanwhile, the Public Relations Officer (PRO), of the state Police command, Gbenga Fadeyi confirmed the attack to newsmen
He said, “Yes, we just got information that our police station was attacked but I haven’t got details of the officer allegedly killed.
“We have deployed men to the area and as soon as more details are available, we will get back to you”.
